Auto-numbering from Forms

Is there any way to include the auto-numbering field on a web form so that users entering into the form have a reference number unique to their input?

Hi Neil,

Unfortunately, there isn't, but a workaround could be to collect the information and then send them the reference number automatically with the help of "Alerts & Actions"

Hi there-

I utilised a automated work flow to send a generated number from the smartsheet. once the form was uploaded, an automated email to the 'requested by' cell allowed an email to be sent with an unique number,

Hi, I want to use a form on smartphone to log items find on the work floor with so called Red Tag session. Found items need to be marked with a number. Would be great if the auto number would be known when opening a line in the form, or at the bottom when form is filled.

Any update on this subject?

Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment to see the auto-number in the form, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment

As a possible workaround, you could have a dashboard showing the current auto-number together with the form or to see it before you fill in the form.

Hi there, I am hoping someone can help: as smartrad did above, I need to create a workflow where respondents receive a number generated from the smartsheet once their response to my form has been recorded. How do I set this up? Can someone share a similar image/snip construct of the workflow? Steps?
