Hello,
How can I search the Activity Log for a sheet by task name (or parts of it) to determine who inserted a task? I don't want to use row numbers because they change as rows are added or deleted. Thanks.
The quicker method might be to right-click on a cell in the new row and choose cell-history. That will give you specific details about who added the row.
You don't really search activity log as much as you filter it. Same net result but if you think of it as a filter it's easier. There are plenty of log filters that could help you narrow it down.
Why not start with a really simple ... Highlight changes, then hone in on what interests you? Seems maybe the quickest/ simplest way? Then you can interrogate Activity Log.
Hope that helps?

Its very frustrating when you are adding multiple columns and having to use the slide bar to move to the end and then click the 3 dots and add another column. Seems there has to be an easier more productive way.

It's been a few days, and I'm unable to track our projects and this…
Hello, I am using an Appsheet app to update a Smartsheet 'metadata' sheet with a status. I have various other sheets that will then be updated based on unique ID's as their status changes on the metadata sheet. Since Smartsheet cannot run a Workflow on cell's changed with cross-sheet references, I have created a "helper"…
