Hello,
is it possible to set a webform to be emailed daily so that the person can fill it out every day and add a line to the sheet? (this is for a timesheet).
I don't see a scheduling option in Forms so it's probably not possibe to use the Form UI to send it daily.
For a work around you could try this:
1. Create a sheet with two columns: Date and Contact list types.
2. Share sheet with employees you are collecting timesheets from3. date column: =Today()4. contact = employee
5. Set a notication to send to the employee and set the date to be the 'Today' column.
6. In the notification reminder message, past the URL for the form and tell the user to ignore the rest of the message.
Tihs will send on weeekends and holidays, I am not sure if the workday() fuction will be able to conrol that.
Brett, that would work but on 3. change it to =TODAY(1) which will be today + 1 day. Reminders need to be set at least one day in the future. On 4. Set a reminder, not a notification.
There is likely a feature or add on you can use for your email client to send recurring emails. I did a quick search and see its possible in both Gmail and Outlook. Try Googling "How do you send a recurring email in *name of email service*"
Another work around for this is to get the form link, then on the sheet, select a row, go to file, send sheet as attachment, select PDF (options), select 'selected rows', ok, then type out what ever you want to say and put use below link to fill out form, and paste the link. You can then schedule recurring emails to be sent. It will have a blank attachment but it works!
Still, it would be great if smartsheet added a schedule function to the send form link option in more!
Hi all,
Good news! It's coming!
Customers have requested the ability to set up workflows that repeat on a regular schedule.
We're preparing recurrence for time-based workflows so you can save even more time on repetitive steps, such as daily due date reminders and weekly status update requests. This automation enhancement will be available this spring.

Hope that helps!
Have a fantastic weekend!
