Hello,
Currently when I type into the last row of a sheet it adds a new blank row on the bottom of the sheet. Is there a way to basically reverse this so that the row is constantly added to the top of the sheet?
No that's not possible in Smartsheet. However, if you are using a form to input your data, you can have that form input into a new row the top of your sheet.
See here for more information: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/522221-collect-information-form
I'm thinking a workaround will be to sort the sheet based on a column whose type is auto-number, then sort descending on that column.
So even when a new row is entered at the bottom, when you sort the auto-number column in descending order, it will appear on top.
Sadly, the sort setting isn't persistent, so every time you add a new row, you will need to sort again.
Thank you for the replies, I will give the form a try.
Hello, I'm trying to create an Approval Request automation, but I need the following actions: When approved: for user to type out their name When declined: for used to type out a reason I'm able to select the columns I want the information to be populated in on the automation, but it shows an error message. Is there no way…
I have a report that consists of 27 sheets. Shared sheets and report with 3 people. These 3 people do not have the ability to add or remove sheets in this report. Is that normal? I would like for them to remove sheets as they complete a project. Attaching an image - the selection option is grayed out for them.
All sheets in my workspace disappeared unexpectedly; I am the owner and did not delete them. They are not in Deleted Items. I need help restoring them.
