Using Reports & Editing Columns with Formulas

I have created some reports.  I have a column in the report that it is currently not allowing the report users to edit.  There is no protection. I am presuming that it is because there is a formula in the cell.  Is there any way to allow report users to edit the formula in the cell.  In this report we would occasionally ask them to override the current contents and put something more up to date in the column.
