Frozen/Unresponsive Sheets
We're experiencing freezing/unresponsive sheets after a few moments of being open. This has been going on for a few days. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi Faith,
Slowness on your sheets can be due to a few factors:
- Network—although other websites might work fine, there could be network conditions that interfere with Smartsheet. Temporarily try a different network to troubleshoot this.
- Computer apps and browser extensions—certain extensions or computer applications can also interfere with Smartsheet. Try disabling all of your browser extensions; temporarily using another browser; and disabling any other applications that are running in the background to see if this improves performance. You might even temporarily try loading the same sheet on a different computer to see if there's a difference.
- Outdated browser—make sure you're on the latest version of your browser, otherwise Smartsheet performance may be impacted.
- Advanced functionality—if the sheets you're opening have any combination of hundreds of formulas or several complex formulas, dependencies, resource management, cell links or cross-sheet formulas, or a lot of people are constantly updating the sheets (through web forms, requests, or directly) then performance will be impacted. You may consider reducing formula usage or separating materials as needed onto multiple sheets.
- Large sheets—another possible cause of slowness can be due to having large sheets (thousands of rows, dozens of columns) even if you're not using a lot of advanced functionality. Consider dividing your sheet into multiple logical volumes of separate sheets.

- How advanced is the sheet? Advanced formulas/much conditional formatting?
- How many columns?
- Connections to and from other sheets?
