Different sheets under one project

Hallo Smartsheet communit,

I am new to smartsheet, however, I am not familiar with everything as I am still learning abut it. I would like to find out if it is possible in smartsheet to create different sheets on one workbook as in Excel. I would like to create four sheets and link them with formulas. I am able to do that in Excel but I can't in smartsheet.

Hi Salmon,

Yes, you can! You can create four different sheets and then link them together with "cell linking" or depending on your specific use case, you could maybe use reports instead.

Hallo Andree,

Thanks very much for your swift reply, I highly appreciated.

There are few things I would like to find out from you.

The cell linking seems to be perfect, but I noticed that I can't link blank cell. I just want to update one sheet and it will automatically populate to other sheets which are linked to it.

It is possible that, if a certain condition is met in one particular cell and then it will populate the next sheet with full description. For instance goods registered in sheet one has been fully received on 20.05.2018 in sheet two, and I want the full detail to appear in sheet three just by entering the date in sheet two.

It can be blank, but something has to have happened. So, for example, you could change the color and then change it back.

I would need more information to be able to answer with certainty, but it seems like it would work. There needs to be a thorough thought thru a process to make it work though.
