Complete % on parent task and sub tasks

Just discovered this on project sheet and was wondering what could have caused it?

One parent task in my sheet is showing the value "1" when a subtask is set to 100%

Other parent tasks in the same sheet is showing 100% when the sub tasks are set to 100%.

A bug or RTFM?

Hi Mattias,

I think it's just the format that is wrong. Check to see that it's % on that cell and in the whole column. If it it's not formatted as %, it will show 1 because that is the same as 100% in text format.

Hello Andrée, and thanks for your reply.

I cant find any way of setting properties on a cell level, and the column is set to Text/number and can not be changed due to its used in project settings.

The column setting shouldnt be an issue since the other cells in the column are showing a correct format.

Also I havent done any changes in settings, just populating the rows with entries.

Any other thoughts?

A thing to add is that the parent in the SS is also a subtask to another parent, dont know if this is an issue with hierarchy in multiple steps?

Well that little button did the trick...

The question then remains why Smartsheet changed the settings on random cells in the first place?

As I mentioned before, all I have been doing is adding info row by row...

That is a little strange. Have you checked the cell history?

The history tells me that I set the cell to "1" and then set it to 100%...

Maybe a glitch or if you moved/skipped a row. The important thing is that it's working now. If it happens again, I would recommend that you send it to Smartsheet support as a possible bug.
