How to view your roadmap in Smartsheet

Hi All,

I have just uploaded the Agile product roadmap template from smartsheet to create my roadmap in smartsheet account. After creation, I have not been able to visualise the end product as a roadmap (see image attached). Do i need to change my setting in smartsheet to view my roadmap? I can only see it as the Gantt view. Any advice. Many thanks for help

Hi,

Unfortunately, there isn't a specific roadmap view. The Gantt view is the one to use.

Thank you for reply, I got the smartsheet roadmap template on this link: https://www.smartsheet.com/free-product-roadmap-templates-smartsheet . Are these roadmap template functional in smartsheet? If so, how can I get them to work? Or will I still be able to view the roadmap as the Gantt view. only. Many thanks

Is this the one that you've added as a template to Smartsheet? All templates are functional, but you might need to adjust to the features, design, and limitations of Smartsheet. (like any other solution)

Roadmunk looks great. Smartsheet has it's annual conference next week so keep an eye on that to possible features that could help and make it possible for you to use Smartsheet.

I was also wondering why on a Smartsheet template page (below) they show you images of roadmap templates that are nothing like what they actually look like in Smartsheet and if you need to mess around changing formatting etc. then they are not templates.

Unless I am missing something obvious, this is not very good at all. It is forcing me to go elsewhere.

Hi @Damion Littlewood, Did you get this to work in the end? I also thought that this did not work like I'd expect from a template. Do you know what formatting etc. changes are required to get this to give a roadmap similar to that in the article? All I seem to be able to do is general a Gantt, which is not much use for what I need (Agile roadmap).

@KPDNSW Did you end up getting Roadmunk? and have you tried to integrate with Smartsheet?

We recently purchased Roadmunk to integrate with JIRA but I was looking to see if anyone had integrated the Smartsheet with the Feedback function in Roadmunk.

I also have the same problem. The roadmap templates presented in the blog post look nothing like what I'm able to view in Smartsheet. Have gone elsewhere as well.
