Locked columns using forms with the updated app
The latest app update does not allow form submissions to locked columns.
We have 20 sheets assigned to 20 individuals that use forms to update their respective sheets. The sheets have locked columns to allow the sheet user to review and confirm their submission but not edit it.
With the latest update to the ios and android app, we can no longer submit information to the sheet through forms within an app. I submitted a ticket on 10/5 with an update request on 10/9. I have yet to receive a response.
App error reads "you can not edit a locked column"

Hi Craig,
Thanks for reaching out on this issue! This is a known bug in native mobile apps where forms cannot be submitted with a locked column.
We are currently working on a solution to this issue. The interim workaround is to remove the locked column from the form.
Thanks,
Corinne

Thank you Corinne,
As of Friday 10/12/18 this problem has been corrected without an update to the app.

Thank you for the information.
I am still having this problem but have only had an issue using an Iphone 5. I believe it has something to do with the age of the device.

I, too, have been having the same issues. Owner of the sheet and cannot modify locked columns through the app using a form.

I'm having this same issue on a form that I have been using for nearly 2 years. Locked columns that are filled out via form by a number of users with non-Admin access rights and it's never given me trouble until recently. Is there any update on when it will get fixed?

Hello, I am also having this issue. I am requesting updates from sales that include locked columns, but when they open the form, they have the ability to edit these. Has this been resolved?

Are you requesting an update or sending a new form (to populate a new row)?
If you are requesting an update, they should not be able to edit locked columns. If they are submitting a new form to populate a new row, then you would need to remove those columns from the form.

Hi Brianna,
Which permission level do they have on the sheet?
Have a fantastic weekend!
