Notifications including comments
Hello,
I am needing the notification that gets sent from a SmartSheet to show the body of the comments. Currently it only shows the comment symbol as below. The other formatting change i would like is to run the row vertical rather than horizontal.
Thanks!

Hi Lachlan,
You should get the notification with the comments added/updated below the rows. It also depends on if it's one row or many. If it's one row, you will get it vertically.
For some specific types, you can choose to have it sent in a vertical view (Send Rows).
I hope this helps you!
Best,

Thanks for your help Andree but unfortunately neither of your deductions are occurring. The alert sends the row horizontally (they are all one row alerts) and for an alert you can't choose the direction in which it displays. I think the reason for this is that I am using placeholders in the message which seems to effect the way the alert works. Not too worried about the horizontal row display, it is more the fact the the body of comments that aren't showing that is an issue.

Happy to help!
I tried it with placeholders now and it still sends vertically for me. I'm also getting the comments underneath. (Please see the attached picture)
What kind of alert/notification are you using?

Thanks... The place holders you used would have failed! As you can see above it came through exactly how you typed it rather than pulling in the value. Try {{Weekstart}}!
I got the comments working... it was just due to condition error caused by something i had done so that is sorted. LMK how using the correct placeholder goes?

They didn't fail. I just copied one and changed it to test.
Great that you got comments working!
