Linked Cells do not update colored format

If I have a Cell in Sheet A that is linked to a cell in Sheet B, it appears that the color formating of Sheet B does not get updated into Sheet A.

i.e.

Sheet B Cell = "Final" checkbox that is green (when Checked).

Sheet A Cell = Linked to "Final" Checkbox where green colored formating does not update into Sheet A.

I tried adjusting colored text and bg color changes but they don't seem to update to the other sheet links.

Is there a reason why colored formating does not update with linked cells?

If you are using conditional formatting to colour it green then both sheets need to have the same conditional formatting rules.

Cell linking is only used to link text - formatting will not be linked between sheets.

As James mentioned, if you are using conditional formatting, each sheet will need these rules added.
