How to move automatically from one Hierarchy to another
Hello,
I have couple of Hierarchy in my sheet: Won Opportunities, Lost Opportunities and complete funnel.
I would like that every time I make an update from Microsoft dynamics those opportunities go immediately to the corresponding Hierarchy.
For example: if the opportunities was in Hierarchy: complete funnel and the status move to Won, I would like this row move automatically to the Hierarchy: Won Opportunities.
Unfortunately I cannot take as option drag and drop. As well I cannot use multiple sheets to use the option move to another sheet. I have a really big sheet with almost 4,000 rows that’s is why I need something automatic.
Can someone help me out here?
Thank you
Donna

Hi Donna,
Smartsheet mentioned functionality that is coming for moving rows and more and that might help. We'll have to wait and see how it will work.
Smartsheet also recently released a new add-on called Data Uploader that could be an option.
Please see the attached link/screenshot for more information.

Would Data Uploader work?
Have a fantastic week!

Hello Andree,
Thanks for your answer, but unfortunately it’s just don’t work.
Looks like I have to do it manually.
Best regards

Happy to help!
It will probably get easier when the new features come out.

This can be done with Microsoft Flow and usage of the Smartsheet API. The basic steps would be:
1. Status changes in Dynamics
2. Microsoft Flow triggers an action based upon the Status change in Dynamics
3. Search Smartsheet for the Row ID # of the already existing records (Get Row #)
4. Move the row to its new location (this presumes you know the Row # of the parent hierarchy that you want to move it to. You'll move it to the next row below that one. -
Thanks for sharing Ramsay.
Come to think of it would also work with the third-party solution, Zapier.
Best,
Andrée
