Automatic email after completing form

Hi, this is my first inquiry so I may be wrong about this.



As far as i can tell, there's no way to send an automatic email to a user that fills a form unless they click the "get my responses" box.

Is there a feature that I'm missing? This seems fairly basic for any contact form online.

Hi,

Welcome to the community!

Yes, it's possible but you have to get their email from a contact column or that they select from a contact list of predefined people. You can then configure a rule with Alerts & Actions to send an email to the submitter.

Hi Andrée! Thanks for your answer. Right now I created my form and added a contact column. I can see now that the added value is a contact and has a round shape next to it in the sheet... but I can't manage to configure the rule with alers and actions.
What way should I do it?
I just want a simple email to be sent to that person when they complete the form.

Happy to help!

In Alerts & Actions > Alert Someone > Specify what should trigger the Alert > Change Alert Someone to Send to contacts in a cell (the contact cell) > Customize the message.
