Dateline in PDF export
For some reason the dateline in Gannt view is not showing in my PDF outputs.
The same result in both print and export.
Is there a setting I am missing somewhere to make this visible?

Hm, must have been dreaming the last time I printed a pdf of the gannt view.
It seems that there is no way of including the date line in a pdf if I read posts from before. The last entry I can find about this is from the beginning of 2017 and I suppose there has not been any changes in two years..
This brings up another question, is there anywhere to see what features actually been worked on? Roadmap?

Hi Mattias,
Unfortunately, there isn't a public roadmap anymore.
The only way to be aware of things to come is if Smartsheet tells about it in the community or thru the EAP (Early Adopter Program)

Ok, thanks. A pity to not see what is going to happen with Smartsheet in the future.
Regarding the missing date line and a possibility to have that visible in a PDF export, is this something that I am missing in the settings?
-
I'm always happy to help!
Regarding the date line, I think it's not included because when you export or print it will not show the correct (today's) date in the future. It's not dynamic.
Make sense?
Have a fantastic week!

I understand your argument, but it would be a nice thing to be able to add the dateline as a timestamp when the pdf was printed as an option.
People are still scared of entering into the dynamic world of sharing...
-
Yes, that makes sense as well.
I advise my clients to add the date/time stamp to the export or printout so that everyone involved knows when the information was correct.
One workaround could be to export the pdf and add the dateline inside another solution.
Another possibility is to export the sheet and import it to a Gantt solution that can have the dateline /today mark present. Office Timeline / Pincello is a great solution for this.
Would that work?

Andrée
