We are struggling with the drop-down option as it seems like you can only select one option from the list. Is there a way of allowing users to select multiple options?

I too would like multi-select. I have two spreadsheets of projects, and trying to tag projects to audience/markets.

Well its now September 2016 and I too need this feature - enhancement. I'm developing a roadmap with dropdown lists that reflect areas of impact - product features - - a websform doesnt work for me - need the flexibility of a prohject style gantt...
Also need multiselect for a webform project request form. Any idea on whether this will be released anytime soon?

I haven't noticed an update on this for awhile, but this enhancement would be most helpful when working on major projects that need several departments in the pipeline.

I see that it is December 2016 and an enhancement to the multi select is still a possible ticket item for Smartsheet. Can you maybe take a look at it again as I too would like to have it added. I am in need of a multi select drop down and all options aren't really working for what I need in my project.
