Collaborator access by row

We are using Smartsheet as an opportunity tracking tool. I would like to give partners outside of our company access to only certain rows in the sheet. The update request functions works really well, but that's only for one update at a time. Is it possible to keep that link open indefinitely?

Have you tried whether Reports could answer your needs?

Not a bad idea. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work. The report gives me the filtering I need. However, in order for the collaborator to have edit capability within the report, they must be listed as an Editor on the source Smartsheet. Which gives them access to everything listed on the source sheet.

Would cell linking help out? Have an individual sheet for each partner with the necessary access and ability to request update to their entire sheet but have it roll up to a master sheet. There was recently a good webinar on this that is likely availabe on the site and some instructions here http://help.smartsheet.com/customer/portal/articles/861579. I haven't tried it myself so not sure if there is maintenance to it that defeats the purpose but thought I'd mention it.

Thank you all for your help. My boss found that the update requests can be setup on a recurring basis. This is actually better for us. It will give our partners a consistent reminder to update the sheet. It doesn't rely on us manually doing it. Cool feature!
