Reverse sorting an auto-number sheet
I have a sheet developed for creating purchase order numbers using the auto-number system. Due to the fact we create a lot of purchase order numbers, I have reverse sorted via the auto-number column so users do not have to scroll through many po's to get to the bottom of the page.
Is there a way to automatically have an empty row at the top of the sheet waiting to enter the next auto-numbered purchase order. I would like to eliminate the need for users to have to add a row to create a purchase order.

Hi Al,
Unfortunately, as far as I know, it's not possible at the moment, but it's a great idea!
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.
A possible workaround could be to use a form instead.
Would that work?
Have a fantastic week!

Have you considered using a form to enter new PO's? You could then have the form populate the top of the sheet. And every time they accessed the form, the form will be blank and add the new entry at the top. Just a thought.

Thank you for both responses. I will look into this.

The form idea works well. It would be nice if the form also populated with the purchase order order auto-number. We would still have to go to the sheet to find the generated number. It is still much better than what we had.
Thanks

You could set up an alert or something along those lines and use the {{Column Name}} placeholder feature to send the PO number via email to whomever. If you include a contact type column on the form and have the individuals enter their email address, you could have the PO number sent to whoever submitted the form.

Thank you Paul!
