Sumif between dates in different columns

Hi,

I have a sheet with the following columns "Resource required", "Shift", "Date From" and a "Date To". What i need to do (Probably on another sheet) is sum the resource column against the criteria in the shift column and for a given date for the whole sheet. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
