Update requests and discussions
Hi everyone
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that if you add a discussion comment when responding to an update request, it creates a new discussion thread rather than a reply to the existing discussion. We only ever have 1 discussion per row, so starting additional discussions doesn't make sense.
Have I got this right? Is it possible to request the functionality of this is changed?

You are correct, new discussions are created from update requests. If you want to comment on existing discussions, the user will need to open the sheet.
I will add your suggestion of adding comments to existing discussions through an update request, to our enhancement request list!
Thanks Alex!

Add my vote to this feature as well.

I vote for this as well. We typically only need one discussion per row and It does make it a bit confusing when we send an update request, if one user comments on the existing discussion and another responds in the update request discussion. I like and understand the need for multiple discussion functionality for a row, but would like to be able to control if a new discussion is created or not when sending an update request.
