Recurrent update request for whole sheet
Update requests used to have a feature that would allow recurrent emails to be sent requesting an update to a whole sheet. This was really valuable for me running the programme office because I could give the project manager responsible for each sheet an automated prompt with a link to review and update their porject.
Since the update requests changed to use forms this feature has been removed, and the "single-form-per-row" update style is entirely impractical for more than a couple of tasks at a time.
I was wondering what work-arounds people have found or if there are other ideas that people can recommend.
Cheers, Chris.

Add my vote for this feature as well as single-row recurring update reminders.

You could share the sheet with them and set up a calendar invite with a link to the sheet that alerts them on a recurring basis. Or if they are not Smartsheet users, publish the sheet and do the same with the published sheet URL.

Dave B,
the single Row updates already exists....but have to be set at each Row.
John,
thanks for the idea of using a calendar invite.
We are creating a project sheet and want a reminder to go out weekly to remind the Project owners to update their project info.
We could do this by setting an Update to each Row, but then when new projects are added, we have to set it up for each Row.
We may have each user go to his/her row and setup the Update Request for themselves.
My vote is to have this at the sheet level would be better so that whoever is in the Contact list gets a reminder.
thanks,
Tim

Good suggestion Tim and everyone else, I will pass your feedback along!
Tim - Azuqua does have the ability to send update requests to users assigned to a task. It can be triggered by a date column or another aspect of your sheet.

Travis,
Thanks for the reminder....I am aware of Aququa and need to re-check them out. I did a quick demo with Zapier and Azuqua for something else a few months ago but need to spend more time with it. Part of the issue with 3rd party apps is going through the ardious state government procurement process. I don't have a coporate amex I can expense easily these on..
