Freeze Rows?

I would also like to vote for this, my users  definately need this feature.

 

I know this is usually a fruitless question, but could we have a ETA (or at least a status update) on this? This discussion has been open since June 2015 and there have been quite a few votes for it. So knowing that it hasn't simply been brushed aside would be quite reassuring.

Callum this functionality is not on our near term roadmap and I do not have an ETA of when it might be added.

 

No product enhancement request is "brushed aside". We receive thousands of requests a month and take everything into consideration when we develop new features and functionality.

Seriously? Feezing rows should be a basic functionality. Please add it!

Add me for this, as well. Especially with new "Sights", it would be good to have the abiltiy to freeze the "Sheet Data" that was proposed as best practice in the recent webinar.

 

It makes it tougher to sort my sheet, and my sheet data gets moved around when I do so (unless i highlight & exclude this area).

You've got 50+ requests in this thread alone. Even if you made it so it starts at row 1 and freezes from the top down, that would be an improvement. ALl I bet many of us want is to be able to freeze that first row so because we have column instructions there.

 

That or increase the number of characters allowed in the Column header.

just adding my vote... yes please!  This is the first thing that I've come across that I use ALL the time in excel that I am wanting to use in smartsheet.... I like the ability to freeze rows and columns at a particular place...
