Format of Smartsheet Alerts

Hi, 

Just wondered if you can make enhancements to the alert set up.  Right now the format is really not user friendly (see screen shot) .  Or can I change this set up myself?

Hello,

You can setup various alerts - not just the highlight cell one.You can also alert someone, request approval, lock/unlock a row based on filters and triggers. (Alerts and actions menu)

Hi Josephine,

You can set up an Alert and select which columns should be included so you don't have to see everything.

Would that work?

Hello! I am having the same issue, please help. I have selected only 22 columns and have even tried a JOIN formula but it is not helping and is still not user friendly. Is there a way to make it so always alerts as vertical versus horizontal??

Depending on your set up and scenario (and how many characters are in the cell), you could use a {{placeholder}} in the text body message of the alert instead of including the column that has the data.
