I want to stop all my collaborators from accessing a sheet while I make some big changes. Is there a way to do this without telling them all to come out? Thanks
Hi Donna,
If I understand your question correctly, here is what you can do:
Go to SHARING at the bottom of the screen.
There is a drop down button next to all of your collaborators names. You can either change their permissions (viewer would be best in your case) or you could remove them, and then re-invite them when you are done your changes.
I hope this helps.
Yes, that would work perfectly. Thanks
To add to this I believe that this is an issue that perhaps should be bicked up by smartsheet to have a method of suspending access similar to being able to disable a conditional formatting rule rather than delete. A tick box by each shared user perhaps or a global one for everybody except the owner.
Travis may like to add this to the ever increasing whish list.
James
I agree - this would be a nice feature to see.
Hi Everyone - I will add this request to our enhancement request list! In the meantime, Rob offered a great workaround. Open up the sharing tab and make everyone a Viewer while you make the changes.
+1
