Sharing a sheet with client - Hiding sensitive information - How to do ?
Hi all,
I have a smartSheet in which I share information about different clients.
I would like to share it with all my clients.
The sheet contains sensitive data and I don't want my clients to know about my other clients.
Is there a way to only share part of a sheet with clients (i.e. only the rows that correspond to their activities - not other clients ones), some filter "viewing" option ?
Does SmartSheet provide some kind of view functionality ?
Thanks community.

Hi,
Unfortunately, you can't share the sheet and select specific rows to be shared with different clients. Smartsheet has a specific Premium Add-on called Dynamic View for this kind of need. https://www.smartsheet.com/product/dynamic-view
Do they need to edit or only see the information?
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@getdone.se)
Have a fantastic week!

Thanks.
They would be to only see not edit.

Happy to help!
Because they only need to see you could create a report per client that only shows what they need to see and then you'd publish it and share the links.
Would that work?

I think you can share data via link sharing into a new sheet from a private sheet. Can someone confirm?

Yes, that's another way to share specific information without sharing the source sheet, however publishing a Report (as Andrée mentioned) may be a faster way to achieve the same goal as you don't have to build each cell link.
