Workspace attachments
OK, this might be slightly embarrassing ... but where did the workspace level attachments go?
And when?

Craig,
do you mean this?
I still have it (never used
-
Thank you. I couldn't find it either. The support article describes its location as being at the bottom of the page!?
"To attach a file to a workspace: Click on the Home tab at the top of the Smartsheet window and then click the workspace name in the left sidebar.
The list of items contained in the workspace will appear in the middle of the screen.
Click the Attachments tab at the bottom of the Smartsheet window." -
Yes, Atus. That.
It used to be at the bottom. And the video does not mention it (but I recall that it did) so I wasn't sure.
Now I am, so thanks!

Atus is correct - the button was moved a month or two ago.
I have contacted my colleague who updates the Help Center and ask her to update the information to include the new location.
Thanks for pointing this out!

What????? Shut the front door! I did not know the atachment and discussion buttons were ever there....cool!

Well Chuck and ctc, you've made me feel better.
I'm glad I asked the question, even if I (maybe) should have seen them myself.
Feature Request: Make the icons DARKER.
They looked greyed out (inactive) on my screen.

What is the advantage of attaching to a workspace vs sheet?
-
Hi Tony-- Some users find it useful to attach documents on the Workspace level that apply to every sheet in the Workspace, rather than attaching a document to each individual sheet--for example, if you have forms, contact lists, etc. that might be applicable to each sheet in a Workspace.

Thanks Kennedy!

It would be nice if there was an indication that there are attachments at the workspace level. Maybe if the quantity in parenthesis appears next to the attachment button so the users know whether there are attachments or not (example attached).
