Workflow - messages send in message the # of rows updated

I would like to put into the message text like "Hello, there were a total of {{rowsupdated}} updated rows"

We can do things if the titles are different and pulled in for per level extracts. But, I want to do a weekly report, and get a message weekly with the # of rows modified with my conditional matches.

Would it work to include a Modified (Date) column and then use a COUNTIFS to count how many of those dates are within the past week?
