When I delete a person from the system (end of contract), is the person that also deleted from all the automation rules?
- I get a large number of messages that a "workflow has become invalid".
Thanks for any advice.
Hi Victor,
No, they aren't deleted from the automation but depending on your Automation Permissions (Restricted, Limited, Unrestricted) they could still be part of the automation and receive alerts/actions.
Hope that helps!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Thank you for your quick response.
To me this sounds like a bug .... When I delete a person from the system, I want to have them deleted entirely. After deleting I would not like to change all the automation manually for all the rules the person appears.
Or am I not getting it?
Happy to help!
I can understand that but because the permission can be set to send to anyone that's not part of your account it can't be deleted and also you might want to change them to someone else.
A possible enhancement could be to have an option when deleting the person to remove them from all Automation as well.
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.
What do you think?

I'm new to smartsheet and I was wondering the same questions as Victor, so is this issue still persistent or has it been resolved by smartsheet?
Hi @Andrée Starå! I'm also curious about this, also. I don't believe it has been resolved. At the very least, is there a way to see what sheets and automations the user is connected to? This is also an issue when someone is replaced. Is there a way to update an old user with a new one?
My company has the Smartsheet Business Plan and I have a Smartsheet license. I've created several sheets and shared them with multiple stakeholders who do not have a Smartsheet license. Some have indicated they are having issues viewing the sheets. I've checked their email addresses, and they are correct. Some are…
Hi everyone! Looking for suggestions on how to show planned vs actual in chart format. In Excel, we can have a line that shows numbers or percentages for planned and another for actual and then put it into a chart which shows the planned line and then actuals in a bar graph. I've provided an example below. Looking to do…
Hi, we are using Smartsheet for our construction company and are looking for some assistance. When I create a new programme/schedule I use a new sheet for each project. We use a lot of the same subcontractors across multiple jobs and are looking to avoid clashes of dates for subcontractors on different jobs. Is there a way…
