The short answer is no. This is not a feature within Smartsheet at this time.
If you design your sheets using Hierarchy you can collapse and expand data which helps with big sheets. Also imaginative use of reports to fiter dat is also good.

Also, lots of people have asked for a "header" section of the sheets.
I'm still hoping for that one.
