Workflow alerts

Hello all,

I am new in smartsheet and faced one maybe simple problem while setting workflow alert, which looks like that:

Trigger: When rows are changed

When: "Loading date" changes to Any Value

Condition: Here I want to create condition - if the "Loading date" is in the next 7 days from today and had been moved further (8,9,etc. days from today), then one of the team members would get an alert. Problem is that I can't find right option to choose.

Usually "Loading date" being changed 3-4 times from the start to the end of the project so I want to alert my team only if the date is 7 days from today or closer. 

Hopefully my question makes sense.

Hi Darius,

It sounds like you would need to have a formula on the sheet for it to work.

Would that work?

You should be able to set this up directly in the workflow... See attached screenshot.

I don't think that would work as needed. I believe Darius wants to trigger the workflow if the Loading Date is in the next seven days and if it moves past that to over seven days from today.

Initially I thought the same thing, but then I re-read this portion:

More specifically the portion about

 

"... I want to alert my team only if the date is 7 days from today or closer."
