hallo @Paul Newcome , @sahilhq , Thank you for the great information,,, i got all the points ,,,i am doing similar like that,
but i dint get ,,,, did you created 25 rows for all dates? i mean you have 25 slots for each date right... can you please explain bit how to specify time slots inside sheets.... all other concepts are working perfectly,,, i dint get how u specified the time slots for dates,,,can u pls help me out?
-
For Info... i need to provide some slots for Monday - Friday (whole year),,,,How to setup these timeslots for all dates?
-
@PYU That is correct. You would need to create a separate row for each time slot. So if you have 10 time slots for a single day, then you would have 10 rows with the same date.
-
@Paul Newcome but i am afraid how to setup this ,,,bacause i need these slots for complete year...
can u suggest me how to do this .
-
You would have a single row for each slot. Dates may be repeated if you have multiple slots for a single day.
-
but approximately i have 6 slots,,, for all day ( year too!! ),,,,
-
Ok. So you would have 6 rows per day. If you go with 365 days in a year that means 2,190 rows in the sheet which still leaves more than 200 columns available before you reach the cell limit in the sheet.

@Paul Newcome Thanks for your insight on this. You seem like a Smartsheet genius! I saw where Travis Spears commented up top, but never responded. I'm having the same situation. We have a sheet/form created where our employees go to sign up for training. However, we are only providing training on one day but we want to include multiple time slots. I was able to use some of the information you provided above to show the number of spots remaining on our sheet (we have a max of 9 for each time slot) but I can't figure out how to automatically remove those time slot selections from the form once the # time slots =0. Any suggestions for this? I also could not tell if you did conditional formatting for the calendar that made the colors change to gray when it reached 0, but I would love to be able to do that too! Thank you so much!

@np68767 If you have the premium add-on Data Shuttle you can automate the dropdown options. Otherwise you would need to set up an automatic update request to send out to a user if they select a time slot that is unavailable.
And yes. You would use a conditional formatting rule to turn the bar gray when the number is equal to zero (maybe another one to turn the bar red if it is less than zero meaning overbooked).

Hi @np68767
I hope you're well and safe!
To update the available slots, you could use the Premium App, Data Shuttle.
Is that an option?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

@Paul Newcome Hi Paul, I know this thread is from a while back however I am using this to help me with a project I am working on, I cannot seem to figure out how to get my slots to change color. I have changed the Conditional Formatting, for example to turn orange if there are less than 11 slots left, however nothing on the calendar is changing color. please let me know if there is something specific I need to be doing or how you went about changing colors. thank you

@RachelGraham2020 Can you provide a screenshot of the conditional formatting rule?
