Dropdown only options

If I have set up a dropdown, can I disable users from typing in text. I ONLY want people selecting from the dropdown.

I don't know of a way to prevent this.  

 

You could setup a conditional formatting rule that says:

"if column A is {select all dropdowns} & click the 'Apply format when condition is NOT met' button.

Change the background to Red & Text White.

 

Then you can easily see inputs that are not your dropdown values.

Hi Erica-- I've also gone ahead and added your vote to support data validation to our enhancement request list, as the addition of this feature would prevent this issue from happening

If your list includes being able to hide rows (not just columns), that would also be great.
