Create Contacts Automatically

If I have First column full of names and Second column with respective email ID, I want a way to create a contact automatically in third column. 

Please see the image below. I want to get the contact created automatically based on data from other two columns. 

 

I will explain my use case. Please suggest if there is any better way to do this. 

I created a form and shared with multiple users through out the company (not everyone is smartsheet user)

When someone submits the form, I want to know / record who submitted the form. So I created a column "Requested by (email ID)" and added that field to form. 

So as someone submits form, the email id will stored in a respective column. 

I wanted to send automatic notifications to that email ID as project status changes. 

Problem here is smarsheets is not sending notifications to the email, it is only sending notifications if it is a contact. 

So every time there is a new form, I have manually change email id to contact. 

I want a way to automatically change the email id to contact.

Excellent news! Formulas in contact columns are coming very soon.

Coming Soon: A New Way to Assign Work

Formulas like =VLOOKUP enable your sheets to automatically returnkey data based on its association with a unique identifier. Today, formula output cannot be in a contact column, but we plan on supporting this very soon.

What does this mean for you?
