When I use the SF dependency type the line I am working on doesn't use the target line's start date as a finish date, ideas?

Without a screen shot, there (at least) two ways to interpret that:

    Line working on = row2

    Target line = row1

    1. The finish date of row2 should be one working day less than row1. Not the same.

(I doubt that's what you meant)

    2. The date does not move at all

    - option 1: There is a predecessor in the parent row which causes some children to start at the same date as the parent row

    - option 2: You have dependencies turned off.

    I suspect 2 option 1.

    I hope that helps.

  • Thanks, you got it.  There was a predessor in a parent row that was causing the problem.

Thank you - that was boggling my brain a little.

It did the same for me until I learned to look for it.

    You are welcome.
