Formula help: if project type = x then sum revenue?

I'm having a bear of a time with forumlas (as you can see from my posting history). I'd like to add up the MRR by project type automatically. I'm currently calculating this by hand and it is time consuming and error prone.

I'd like to count the total MRR for all projects labeled MgdServ as an example. Is this possible?

Hi,

Yes, we'd use the SUMIFS function for that.

Try something like this.

=SUMIFS(MRR:MRR; [Project Type]:[Project Type]; "MgdServ")

The same version but with the below changes for your and others convenience.

=SUMIFS(MRR:MRR, [Project Type]:[Project Type], "MgdServ")

Depending on your country you’ll need to exchange the comma to a period and the semi-colon to a comma.
