I noticed that if I enter a new comment using the little text bubble icon in a row, that cell turns yellow automatically.
Why would this be?
It seems like you turned on the "Highlight Changes" Option. Turn it off by clicking on the highlighted button as shown on the screenshot.
What if the "Highlight Changes" button is toggled "Off" in the source sheet and the highlights are still appearing in a report when changes are made in the report?

Reports have the same setting you can toggle on/off. 🙂
