+1 on the need for "Baseline / Planned vs Actual dates" here too.  This is essential project management stuff.

+1 vote on the need for baselining.  This is a fundamental PM software feature, and a necessary tool for forecasting.  Not sure why it's not in the development pipeline if it is a year old and has so many votes.

 

I'm wondering if baselining could be more easily achieved in the software if a true backup of the sheets were available.  Comparing previous to current project timeline requires history - and if we had a snapshot of the history then this might become a technically simpler problem to solve.

+1 for Baseline . This is a critical piece of project planning. Surprised Smartsheet doesn't have this feature as many other project planning software options do.

Did anything ever come of this? I need the ability to at least track my current project against a baseline. True versioning would be ideal.

Hi Ramsay-- This is something that is on our enhancement request list for long-term development but it is not on our short-term road map. I have added your vote to the list!

Hi Folks,

This is a highly-desirable feature given thej nature of our organisation.  We really need to know where we are experience scope creep and where our resources is off so we can avoid them in the future.
