Hi I would like to include comments and attachments fields in my update request as i would like these fields updating, but I do not want the receiver of the update request to be able to see previous comments or current attachments. Is this possible?

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it's not possible at the moment, but it's an excellent idea!
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.
A possible workaround could be to copy the row before the request or maybe use the new proofing feature in some smart way.
Can you describe your process in more detail?
