Edit specific sheet columns through a report
Hi there,
In the past I was able to create a report and publish it in a way so that people with the link could edit the sheet rows through the report.
I'm trying to replicate that again today and I don't see (or remember) how to accomplish that.
Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
~Anelise.

Yes, Reports allow for editing by editors. Simply create a report, share it with the appropriate users, and they can edit the rows of the reports which will populate back to the main sheet.
Some Caveats:
- The editing user will also have the ability to edit the main sheet and will need to be shared as editors on the main sheet.
- Fields that contain formulas are not editable on Reports.

The key word I am picking up on is "PUBLISH". Reports can only be published as "Read Only". Using a link to a published report will render it un-editable regardless of permissions/owner.
Mike's info is correct in that to edit a report, users will need direct access (and not published access) to both the report AND underlying sheets as editors.

How do you give someone "direct access" vs published access?
