Card View: 'View by' Default when Publishing

Hello,

I am sharing a card view using the following:

Read Only - Full

Available to anyone with the link

Default View - Card

Left Toolbard Display - Hide Toolbar

When I share I have the View By: Status selection on the sheet itself. When you Preview or go to the link the View By defaults to the first drop down column on the spreadsheet (It appears that is how the View By is listed: Column 1, Column 2, etc.)

Is there someway to have the default View By be what was shared and not the first item in the list? I had to make my Status column my first dropdown to appear in Sheet view, and that really doesn't make sense for my updates.

Hello Leslie—we don't have a way to set a default "view by" dropdown column, or have the default be set to the view that was selected in Card view when publishing a sheet. I'll pass your feedback along for this to our enhancement request list for review by our Product team.

Go to grid view, move the column which you desire to be default view to be the first column in grid view and then this automatically becomes the default view at the published link in card view.
