Forms/Formulas
Hi,
I have a Form/Dashboard on Smartsheet to book site induction on the project I am currently working on (see attached image). Just like every other Smartsheet forms, once the form is filled in it feeds into the sheet. Is it possible that once someone books an induction late (48 hours prior to the induction date) they get an automated email from Smartsheets saying that the induction required to be approved before it actually goes on to the sheet/system?

Hi Sahil,
We could use the new move row feature to make this work.
When a form submission adds a row to the Form sheet, and if the date is two days or more into the future, the row would move to the Calendar sheet. If it's less, it will trigger an approval workflow, and when approved, the row would move to the Calendar sheet.
Would that work?
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!
Best,

There is actually only one sheet that is being driven from the form which is the form sheet. The calendar is being driven by a calendar sheet which is more like a formula sheet (I have attached an image below). Do you think the following is possible - if the date inserted in the form is less then 2 days it gets added to a new sheet altogether (I'll create a new sheet) and then an approval workflow request is sent to the responsible person for approval from the new sheet as soon as the row is added. If he approves then the row is automatically moved to the sheet that is being driven by the form? If he rejects it stays in the sheet.

Yes, that would work as well!

Could you please advise of what the automations would look like? I have also not used the moving automated rows feature to yet so can you advise on how that needs to be done?

Try this.
Did it work?
