Why is it that when I link one activity to another with a finish-to-start relationship, the successor activity does not show the correct start date?

I made a copy of a sheet to test something and forgot to uncheck the option to keep the links. Now the Sheet I copied has all of the linked rows and the sheets where the data populates from now show links to the original and to my copy.
