the hide column option is greyed out. I am an editor for the sheet, and overall the sys admin for the account
You need to be an admin on the sheet to hide, remove, or move columns.

Another thing to note...
Sys Admin has absolutely no bearing on what kind of access you have to sheets, workspaces, reports, or dashboards. The sharing permissions on the individual items are independent of the Sys Admin setting.
I've rebuilt my form at least five times and for the life of me cannot figure out why it will not trigger. I've tried to test and run it several times to no avail. Any tips would be very helpful. I was able to successfully trigger once, now nothing at all for a week.
I have an automation that will send a request for an update to a supplier about a complaint. There are fields that the supplier needs to see to understand the issues. But, I would like to be able to lock those down so that the supplier cannot change the information in those fields. Is this possible? Freda
In Smartsheet, we can publish a sheet with an open link for anyone to edit. However, this same setting for publishing a report with an open link for anyone to edit is disabled at our enterprise level.
