managing projects and access to information
Hi there,
We are using smartsheet for the first time to run a major project over 8 months long.
We have set it up with all the weight points etc, we have users allocated including the project manager, the technical manager and the client - who wants to see it to keep an eye on the project.
I now want the PM to keep financial updates in here however do not want the client to see these figures. Is there a way of doing this within the one sheet or do i need to have a master sheet with a second clone with less information which is the one the client sees?
thanks

You could just create a report with the information that the client needs to review instead of sharing the sheet with them. This could be sent daily, weekly, monthly, etc. through the automated reporting through email to the client.

thanks for your thoughts. we already have daily reporting to various key stake holders, including the client, that provide them with daily updates however we need to client to be engaged within the sheet as they provide direct data updates into the program as required so this doesnt really work.

You could just send them update requests to fill in data as well? Otherwise..if they need access to the sheet then you would probably need an internal and external facing sheet..

thanks tony, thats what i was thinking was going to have to happen
