Link to Attachment and Making an Annotation with the Attachment

We are currently using Smartsheet in documenting our audit processes by attaching our working paper in each row. We are thinking if we can put in a cell a hyperlink to the attachment in the row.

For example, in the image below:

 

 

 

Hope you could provide us a solution for this.

John, depending on what storage facility you are using for the documents you wish to hyperlink to, then the first part of you plan works well, at least it does using Dropbox for the storage and probably ok in Box too. Double clicking the Hyperlink does open the document for editing. 

If you wish to include a hyperlink FROM the Document back into a specific cell in smartsheet, you wont get that functionality, but you could input a link to the Sheet concerned?

Or you could use a Cell link in the next cell to the one with the hyperlink, which will a) pull data from the OTHER sheet but b) will allow you to double click it and go straight to a chosen cell in the OTHER sheet. 

If you look carefuly at your workflow you have several choices.
