Auto Close Tab/Browser after Form

Hello Community,

I have been working on SmartSheet for quite a while now and I've created a form that helps my business in submitting the information that I can use to send tickets to our IT department. I've tried finding an answer to this but I couldn't find an answer. 

Recently I have created an excel file that directs users with VBA to a form URL. When the Icon is clicked, windows open chrome and opens the correct form. The user is then able to fill in all of the information and click submit. Everything perfectly fine up to this point.

My question is, is it possible to make chrome, windows, or SmartSheet to automatically close the tab or chrome so that it automatically returns back to the fullscreen excel file?

Not that I am aware of. I'd ask your IT team to embed the form on an HTML page with a javascript button that includes Javascripts window.close(); function to close the window once someone has submitted the form.

Hmm, I have seen something about using javascript to do window.close();. Unfortunately, I'm working on this alone outside of the IT side. I've even been trying to learn how to code a chrome extension just to do only that. At least what I am trying to do was once the form was submitted it will detect the URL change and close tab.
