Recurring Reminder

All,

Looking to setup a recurring reminder for every Friday. I do not want to send an update request. I simply want an email sent every Friday to everyone sharing a sheet instructing them to update their tasks before a recurring Monday meeting. The email would contain a link to the sheet, similar to when you first share with someone. Are there any formulas I could write that the recurring reminder would properly work off of ?

I have searched the community high and low, but haven't found what I am looking for.

The Update Request is the right tool for your business case. It can be scheduled for delivery every Friday and can be sent to all shared users of your sheet. Why do you specifically exclude this functionality?

Alternatively, just set a recurring email in your email client with the content you want in the body of the email..

If you use Outlook for your mail you could set up a reoccuring Task with a link in the Task item and assign it to them that will appear in thier Tasklist in outlook. If you also set a reminder in it then it would flag up at a specific time on a specifik day to remind them that they have a task to complete.

When I sent out the update request, the email directed me to edit the rows (see screenshot below). This functionality would be great if the link just sent me to the sheet. Thoughts? Using outlook, seems to defeat the purpose of using smartsheet. This doesn't seem like a crazy ask.

In the email, there is a big "Update Form" button, that if clicked, will bring you to the form you highlight.

However, there is also a very small hyperlink at the bottom of the email that when clicked will "Go to the sheet". This seems to be the functionality you are seeking as a reasonable desired functionality of a weekly request.

Perhaps the enhancement opportunity is to make "Go to the Sheet" a more evident functionality in the email by assigning its own button!

Yes! That is what I was looking for. Never would have saw that tiny link. Would you suggest reaching out to Smartsheet regarding a larger "Go to the Sheet" button?
