yes, of course. I'm working on a budget / actuals template and getting information from SAP downloads.

However, SAP will sum the parent relationship below the children, as seen below:

it would be multiple, around 10-12 sections

Suzi, you might consider having Smartsheet do the summing for you (using hierarchy), though that might depend on how often you need to refresh your data.

I could envision repurposing the SAP sum rows upon import, something like this where you'd only need to create a new parent row for Section A, and then in the other sum rows place your =children() formulas across the renamed sum rows.

ORIGINAL:

Section A

Section A sum (contains either raw value from SAP or formula brought over from SAP to show sum of above rows)

Section B

Section B sum (contains either raw value from SAP or formula brought over from SAP to show sum of above rows)

...

BECOMES:

Section A parent (newly added row with =children())

Section A

Section B parent (row renamed, and content from SAP replaced with =children())

Section B

Section C parent (row renamed, and content from SAP replaced with =children())

...
