Getting value from parent row

I'm trying to create a formula that will input the same value from the parent row. I'm not looking for simple =PARENT as that will just show the parent name. I want to input data into the parent row, and I want the children to have the same value for each of those columns. So if I move a row from one parent to another, it will change to the new data.

Hi Michael,
Youβd use =PARENT but with the column name.
Something like.
=PARENT(ColumnName@row)
Would that work?
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!

Hi AndrΓ©e StarΓ₯,
I have used =PARENT(ColumnName@row) in my sheet to get the data from Parent cell to Child. Now I want to the formula to be converted to Column formula, so any new data added in the sheet has the Child cell formula in it.

Thanks in advance
