Countifs with 2 criteria - Date and multi-select drop down
Hi all I am trying to get this formula to work but keep getting errors...does anyone know what's wrong?
=COUNTIFS({IL Marcomm Content Calendar 2020 - Global Range 2}, IFERROR(MONTH(@cell), 0) = 1, {IL Marcomm Content Calendar 2020 - Global Range 4}, CONTAINS([Column7]5), @cell))
Global range 2 is a date column (1/1/20)
Global range 4 is a multi-select drop down column
I am using a formula sheet to generate the counts in order to create Dashboard summaries. Therefore, the "contains" reference is pulling from a reference cell with the value I am looking to count.

did you double check your other sheets references? Sometimes they can be glitchy and you have to reset them after you have made them the first time. Double check and make sure both unique ranges contain the same number of cells and smartsheet didn't decide to undo the reference.
What is the error that is being returned? I don't see an issue with your formula syntax at a glance over.

I don't see any syntax issues either. Knowing the error that you are getting would certainly go a long way with helping towards a solution if @L@123's troubleshooting tips didn't help.

Hi all,
The ranges in both columns from the source sheet are the same (full column selected, not a range).
The error message is #UNPARSEABLE.
Any other thoughts?

I just retyped the whole formula and now it works! I have no idea why but I will take it!
Thanks all!

Glad it is working now! 👍️
